Does anyone have any idea whether or not Silent Witness will ever be released on DVD or something similar? It is a great tv show.

I really don't know. I think your best bet is writing the BBC and asking them.

They have released series 1 in The Netherlands and Germany.

Well I know the Dutch release in series 1, not 100% sure if the German one is as well or if it's just some selected episodes. Both have English soundtrack though. Since series 1 has only just been released in the Netherlands it's probably fairly lilely they'll release the rest too.

Not quite sure where you got the information from that it's not being released, because series 1 is set for a DVD release on June 5th this year.

Series 1 of Silent Witness is being released in the UK later this year [or maybe soonish] in a two disc set.

I bought Series 1 of Silent Witness today for £16.99 in HMV but i'd assume you can get it in most places.
