Looking at the cast list on the Silent Witness page here, it looks like the show has completely ended. I say this because the dates for Harry, Leo and Nikki have been stated but as if they were only on the programme until 2006.
Does anyone know whether it will be returning next year or not?

at the end of the repeat of "the meaning of death" the announcer said that it would be back for a new series next year. i also read something somewhere but i cant remember what it was but it gave the impression that they were filming for a new series.

this is what i read. it's from an interview done just before the new series started on bbc1. she talks about the episodes schism and body of work so it's obvious that they've already been filmed and that this refers to a new series to be filmed at the end of this year (2006)

I'm pretty sure they said they'd be back with a new series next year. I can't wait! I wonder how they will do it to keep it fresh?
