why such a poor response from critics?

I don't think Silent Witness is the best made drama on tv (that is Spooks or Waking the Dead)but I do like it and think it often makes me think, and not just about how cute Emillia Fox is.
But the critics seem to hate this programme and also Inspector Lynley, why do they not like it?,I know it is unrealistic and sometimes the plots are crazy but is it really that bad?,compared to all the crap ITV dramas?

because the scripts are written by a bunch of 40 something guardian reading M&s shopping nonce scum that's why.

answered you question?

example of how this show has seriously gone down hill over their past year...

Can you explain the entertainment value of watching teenage girl after teenage girl get murdered just an excuse to show a naked body (i don't give a tos5 if it is a waxwork/dummy)of a underage(14) girl. guess what next week (13th)ANOTHER teenage girl is found murdered mutilated, cant wait for the customary jack-off fest that is the autopsy scene where the crew dissect and chat about the traces of semen that's found "on" her. time to w@nk off for England then(!)

it is OK for the BBC to show this on prime time TV but if i try to replicate viewing images of children like this on the WWW i "would" be arrested and be put on a sex offenders register...

If any of "these" script writers on the streets i would be happy to knife them in the neck!

Because of this BBC i will not pay the £138.50p/year licence fee instead i will use the money to buy ingredients for a bomb and i WILL bomb your studios, maybe "they" will take me seriously.
the week after that the met police will then shot-too-kill some Brazilian dude catching the train. oink

there you go you heard the news here first!

"" compared to all the crap ITV dramas? ""

why you say that? because you cannot w@nk over any naked children?
you sick bast@rd

Hmmm,
I have to say I've not noticed them using a huge amount of girls in the autopsy stuff, but maybe I'm wrong. Even if they did use a lot of them, it isn't necessarily because of the reasons you think (perhaps they are just trying to include a lot of people who are trying to break into television). I don't think we should judge if we don't know.

As for the critics - I know the show has been on for a long time and used to have some woman as the main character. With the earlier series, my parents watched it, whilst I found it pretty dull. My guess is that the people who watched it were older like my parents, and that the show wasn't considered cool. The critics could be trying to fit in with that.

I have to say though, I know loads of people my age who are starting to watch it this season, alongside csi or lost or whatever.
