End of series 15 + series 16!

I just watched the pulled episode 'And then i fell in love' and it wasn't completely liked described on Wikipedia. On wiki it says that Nikki and Harry finally start a relationship and then Harry leaves to go to New York but in the episode none of that happens.

Is Tom Ward leaving the show? Does anyone know if he'll be in series 16?

reply

The BBC have confirmed that he is leaving the show, I believe he is doing just a couple of episodes in the new series. Such a shame as he and Nikki are the most interesting part of the show.

reply

Is he really? That is good news. Maybe now the writers will give Nikki a decent love interest.

reply

Its TERRIBLE news, Harry makes Silent Witness.

There is nothing decent about Harry. He's like the townbike. He'll have to move abroad cos he's slept with every woman in a 50 mile radius. Nikki is too good for that clapped out old slapper.

I've been watching Silent Witness for a long time and Harry has a new girl on the go in almost every episode. Jealous? What is there to be jealous of?

reply

It seems that Tom Ward won't appear in series 16 at all and that's a dreadful way to write the biggest character out. Harry is Silent Witness unfortunately as Leo and Nikki without him just aren't interesting

I've heard from a few sources that the last episode "And Then I Fell in Love" is being re-edited with some new scenes with Tom Ward (Harry) which will cover his departure from the show.

The new version will be available when the Series 15 DVD box set is finally released. It was scheduled to have been released in mid-September but was pulled for some reason and this is possibly why.

I hope they explain about Harry not being there. They never did mention him leaving in Series 15 that I saw :o(

Handsome Harry has been replaced by two hideously ugly people. With Emilia getting long in the tooth and the first episode like watching paint drying, what exactly is the incentive to keep watching, besides yet another necrophiliac letch at nubile dead titties? Actually, I think I answered my own question there.

Change is good!

I like the new guy.

In love! You know, dizzy and feverish and nausea.
That's not love, Jacks. That's the flu.

reply

I like the new guy too. Feisty. And I think his sidekick is an interesting addition too. Plus I still love Leo & Nikki. Not missing Harry as much as I thought I would.

I like Jack too, and Clarissa will enable Leo to spend more time in the cutting room hopefully :o) Still a shame that he and Janet split up, I wonder whether they'll hook him up with someone else?

Emilia did state that she gets a date in this series - anyone have any thoughts on whether it'll be Jack or someone else?

The BBC synopsis of part 1 of the next episode says "Nikki is wooed by a science minister", & part 2 mentions Leo being suspicious of "her new boyfriend", so perhaps that's the guy.

Maybe it's an age thing.

Could well be, I quite like the older men myself now - yeah, okay, I'm only 28 but when there's an older man/younger man situation on TV or film, I quite often prefer the older one. I started watching the show just as Nikki came on the scene - so, what, about 6 years ago? - Harry caught my eye at first, but then I started being drawn to Leo, & then he became my favourite of the two, not that I ever went off Harry, Leo just overcame him in my affections. It was nice to have the two different guys, both lovely & charming in their own ways. It's early days but I'm feeling the same thing with Jack. (At least, I'm hoping it's early days, not heard anything about a Series 17.)
