SAM RYAN,background?Irish ?

Just watching series 3 and 4 on dvd.

I used to love SLIENT WITNESS when it was first on and Amanda Burton was the lead but watching it again after so many years I don't find it so impressive.

Perhaps it is just the passage of time but SAM RYAN is starting to annoy me,she is so full of herself that it is a wonder nobody tries to kill her.

I find the character and indeed the actress attractive but men queue up to be with her in the series, seems unrealistic.

In the episode BROTHERS IN ARMS Sam Ryan refers to British soldiers having been in Ireland and her being Irish.
But she is meant to be a Northern Irish protestant I think most N I Protestants would refer to Northern Ireland

Agree,I am trying not to be too hard on it,like all series it has good episodes and awful ones, and if the character is sometimes annoying and unrealistic it cannot all be down to the actress.

There are decent performances from actors who have not had big careers so it makes me glad I am not an actor.

I'm afraid that this ......http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=XQOGElzRyOk rather did for Sam Ryan for me....

If a vegetarian then maybe don't look.

Mind you, I have been watching some reruns and some are good but some are...decidedly iffy.
French & Saunders were fair.

Mal,they are starting to damage my calm!
