Wow. Another SW timely tie in -- Litvinenko?

Many shows have had poisoned folks in London, referring to the Litvenenko death allegedly at the hands of the Russian poisoners.

And this show is another one now. This time an oligarch who is trying to affect positive change in Russia and support positive movements. Therefore, he is a prime enemy of the Russian regime.

But...this episode aired almost to the day that new evidence in the Litvinenko death has hit the headlines and added another layer of "proof" to the Russian involvement in his awful death.

So SW does it again. Eerie.

Last year or the one before, it was the Rochdale type of story.

I was just about to post something along those lines lol
Wasn't the Rochdale ep delayed or am I thinking of another show?

You are correct---it was postponed and not shown for quite a long time, after it was originally scheduled.

The Rochdale trial was either just ending up OR the sentencing was taking place when SW was going to run their Asian grooming gang episode.

There was another show that was postponed, too, if I recall. It was "Good Cop," with Warren Brown, which had a scene in which a female police officer was beaten by some perps.

They didn't want to run it because of a real life episode in which female officers were shot and killed on duty.

Unfortunately for the show, it was the final episode and it was a long time before the final was shown. Not sure the show ever recovered from that delay and was not renewed.
