Does anybody know why Liz Carr's name was separated from the rest of the cast during the credits of parts 1 and 2 of Sniper's Nest S18E01/2?

Her name was top, on it's own, and then it said "cast in order of appearance".

I immediately checked the news sources as I kinda thought "she must have died" it just seems odd to elevate, what I still consider, a secondary character above everybody else.

I'm so glad someone else has asked this as I have been wondering why this has happened as well. I noticed it last week and now on this weeks episodes.
Is there anyone that can give us the answer?

reply

I can only guess that it's because she's main/recurring character but she's not in the titles at the beginning.

That does make sense.

reply

Yes. It's because she's not in the opening titles. Because she's disabled they don't want to upset her or get sued so they give her top billing in the end credits. Sad really, you can tell they want to write her out of the show but they can't so they give her menial little storylines.

I also noticed that!! I was like, whaaa? Why was she singled out, consider how minor her character is?
I don't get the impression that she'd demand that kind of attention....but then again, who knows. Maybe the producers are trying to compensate for something.

I thought the same!!

Seems a bit weird regardless of the reason - it's almost positive discrimination?!
