I'm sorry but.
The last two episodes were completely ruined by the horrendous acting of the short blond haired woman who played dsi butcher. She looked completely amateur and out of her depth. What a shame because this series had been great.

So far, too much drama in relation to the main character... like it's a crime show, we don't need to see someone so unprofessional get so wrapped up in other people's lives... I would have trouble relating to others too if I were to ingratiate myself emotionally to cases.
Anyway, we have Law and Order in the states, they are pulling the same stuff now... it's always bad for ratings, IMO.
S19 has been a pretty good series and seems to have found it's old form with the new(ish) team.
I've been delving through some of the older seasons from several years back and surprised how good many of these stories have been and how well they hold up over time. Here's one example of the really good ones (IMO) from S11 (2007) - Hippocratic Oath.
