She's Judge Judy. Of course she'll be bossy. lol! She knows nothing else! I was surprised to see her husband's name under cast & crew.

reply

I recorded it...I believe she is on two episodes...
it'll be fun!

"if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck..."
"I have a good nose and something doesn't smell right..."
"you ate the steak now you have to pay for it...."

etc.

eeeeeeek! I'm exited

I saw the commercial again. It says JJ will be there one day only. Her husband will be on the second episode of the day.

Interesting because JJ has said in the past she would never want to be nominated for the Supreme Court because she doesn't like being 'part of a group' when decisions have to be made. That's why she likes what she does - her sole judgement rules.

It's only for one episode so I guess she can suspend her dislike for that long. She is the producer or executive producer of the show so it makes sense that she would fill in for Judge Bakman as he goes back to private practice.

New judge starts on November 1st.

This is the judge replacing Bakman:

enigma-72, My cable guide says JJ will be on both episodes today. Her husband is listed as being in the second episode.

reply

She didn't make the show any better (she sat in on the one case in the first episode, and one case in the second; her husband sat in on case #2 for the second episode.)

I agree. She didn't add anything to the show neither did her husband.

I'm more interested in seeing the new guy today.

thanks cujokay 

I did watch it ... since I had never watched HotBench, I did not know what to expect... I did not like the format... but JJ's personality did come through!

she is better by herself...

I don't think she would get an 'A' for 'plays well with others'

^You've got that right! She is definitely a loner. She just kept talking. I was wondering if the other judges were going to get to speak.

It was fun for what it was. A little JJ out of her element.

The new guy got pissed yesterday and accidentally showed a little personality. If he keeps it up, I just might like him.

Dull and boring as ever.

It actually has grown on me. I like that two out of three have to agree. It's interesting to hear what the hold-out thinks and how they came to the conclusion they did.

Yes

Wish I had seen this sooner. How was it?

You didn't miss anything.

reply

It was 30 minutes I'll never get back. 45 minutes if you count the first half of the second ep where she was sitting in.

I've actually started to like DiMango & Acker; was never a fan of Bakman. I'm checking out the new guy to see if he adds something. At least he can render a verdict which Bakman was not allowed to do.

I never cared for Hot Bench so I skipped it. Looks like I made the right choice.

If you never cared for it, you ABSOLUTELY made the right choice. People like what they like.

I didn't like it for the first 8 months or so. I had a medical emergency and was stuck in the hospital for 2 weeks and at home for another 4 weeks. Anyone that has ever been in the hospital knows you don't have a lot of TV options. The show came on about the time they were bringing lunch & meds and I guess I got used to it.

All I know is when I got home, I actively looked for the show so I could record it. On nights when my pain or sleep meds didn't work as usual, I would watch the DVR shows.

Is the best court show ever? NO, ABSOLUTELY NOT! Can I tolerate it and even ENJOY it sometimes? ABSOLUTELY!

I'm not trying to change anyone's mind.
