$75 for a Michael Kors watch? (11-11)

On 11-11, there was the case of two alley cats fighting over a watch and a tablet that only a dead man can testify to....

The first Alley Cat (who looked remarkably like a cheap imitation of Patti Labelle) left her Michael Kors watch and her tablet over her boyfriend's house - who happened to be the husband of the second Alley Cat (who looked remarkably like a cheap imitation of Snoop Doggy Dog). Just so happens, before Patti Labelle could retrieve her 'personals' from his home, he up and died on her. So Snoop - who lived in another residence away from her husband, but was still married - had access to her personal belongings when she went to hubby's home after he died.

A week later, LaBelle (with her witness, who looked like a cheap imitation of Dionne Warwick) said they saw Snoop Doggy at an event, and she was wearing LaBelle's watch! So LaBelle and Dionne confronted Snoop when she got into her car - and she drove away. Snoop said she don't wear no watch because her wrists are too thin for a watch.

Judge Judy believed LaBelle and Warwick, and asked her what kind of watch was it and where she bought it from, and for how much.

Said Labelle:

"Its a Michael Kors and I bough it off some woman selling it on a street corner. I pays $75 for it."

Jusge Judy, thinking this was an authentic watch and a licensed jeweler selling the watch, asked:

"Do you have a receipt for what you paid for the watch?"

Dumbfounded LaBelle responded:

"Noiaintgotnoreciept - I bought it off a woman selling it on a street corner for $75."

NOW, Judge Judy should have said:

"Byrd - Google 'Michael Kors watches' and see how much they sell for because this sounds awfully shady to me." Then Byrd would have said 'Between $350- $400' and Judge Judy would then say 'That had to be a stolen watch you bought and now want to be compensated for - but that's what we call coming to court with dirty hands. I can't help you".

Instead, JJ awarded her the $75 - but dismissed the tablet since she couldn't prove Snoop took it.
