It's to the point I don't even want to watch JJ anymore. I really think she makes up her mind reading the couple paragraphs of the complaint and then does whatever possible to make it fit.
She's so biased considering she's a judge or was a judge and is suppose to be impartial. Sometimes she doesn't even let one side speak at all, how can she get all the facts if she only allows one side to tell their story? When it comes to accidents sometimes she says why should they have to put it through their insurance if it wasnt their fault? Other times she says that's what insurance is for.
Another thing that annoys me is she is always saying step parents are a nobody to a child. Yet she herself is a step parent and counts her three step kids as the five kids she's always bragging she raised.
I could go on and on.

Anyone else have any examples of this I can't think of right now?

If you don't enjoy watching this for JJ, then you should probably spare yourself the torture and stop watching. I watch it BECAUSE of JJ, not in spite of her. She and my mom, who is 76, are virtual carbon copies of one another. I'd imagine that they would both agree on virtually 100% of everything.

This is an entertainment show, not an actual court of law.

I'm not saying I don't agree with everything she says. I do agree with most of it, it's the times she will do one thing for one case and for a similar case do the opposite. She let's her politics and opinions guide her which doesn't make a good bias judge.

I'm still going to watch it but I feel you. I agree she already has her mind made up. One of the things I can't stand is her double standard. Exactly! She uses the whole "did you really think she wanted you for your looks" thing. She never says that kind of stuff to the women.
Oh I dont plan on not watching, I've been watching for years now. It's just the older I get the more that bothers me. It could also be that I started watching the people's court a few years ago and the difference between those two are night and day.

One of the things I can't stand is her double standard. If a desperate woman sues an ex for money and he's a con artist, 99% of the time, the woman will win. When a desperate guy (usually and older guy) gives money to a con artist woman, he's a fool who usually won't prevail.

I've been saying this for years. She's very sexist, and has an ax to grind with men - especially young men. And as someone else pointed out, she has no problem insulting a male litigant about his appearance - espcially his weight.

She never, ever insults females about their appearance and never ever about their weight - and she has had some jumbo women on that show.

She also doesn't like entrepreneurs and those who are self -employed.

Did you see the one a few days ago with the woman with a tattooed and pierced face and I don't even know how to describe that hair? If that was a man she would have said something but since it was a woman (I think) she said nothing. Didn't even ask how she can afford all that stuff while on social security and you know she would have asked a man that. I wish I knew what she was disabled for.

You do know she gets the cases and evidence ahead of time and reads it before she comes out. Some cases are pretty clear cut and don't need testimony of one side or another.

Yes I know, as I said it in my first post. But she only gets a couple paragraphs from each person and how many times has she caught someone lying, someone who tells a completely different story from what they wrote in their answer

Judge Judy is by far the best judge on TV. She tells it like it is. If you people want wimpy-ness and pandering, then watch another judge, or watch Dr. Phil. You say she's biased against men; she's not. She's biased against BUMS. And jerks. And she always tells-off freeloading irresponsible women too. Some of you just can't handle the truth.

Yes she makes personal insults. But it's to people who deserve it. Some guys come into her court with a cocky attitude....and no judge can wipe the arrogant smile off of a face like Judge Judy.

And JJ always gets to the truth. Her instincts are the best. She always makes the correct decisions. People who don't like her are the crybaby-types.

Back in 2010, there was an amazing Judge Judy segment that featured four people in a dispute over some smashed TVs and a dead cat.

The story was completely made up—invented by four roommates in order to get a free trip to LA and some cash out of the Judge Judy producers.

People who don't like her are the crybaby-types.

And people who do like her are airheads who can't think for themselves and can't stand up for themselves so they "live" that part of their miserable lives through JJ.

Like I said, it's the crybaby-types who don't like JJ. So what if she says a comment to a scamming jerk about him not missing many meals. Quit crying. Call me traditional, but I think a guy can take a comment about being big better than a woman.

BINGO! We have a winner! She would have ripped a male litigant apart.

There are plenty of women who show up to her court with a 'cocky attitude' a 'smug look on their face' etc. They stand there with their head tilted and arms crossed and ready to fight. The only thing JJ will say is 'Uncross your arms'. She doesn't say she's going to wipe the smugness off them, or this is not an audition - ever.

A woman comes in with her big boobs resting on the table and their all tattooed with hearts, roses and "RIP"s . She never tells them to cover up- she lets them hang in front of her. If a man ever did that with his chest exposed it's 'button up'.

Then there are the women who need tissues because they decide to cry on TV. What happened to 'This is not an audition for a TV drama. Stop you're crying'? She could easily put them in their place for that - no need for dramatic effect when telling a story.

She never, ever, criticized a woman's weight on her show - and she's had her share of baby elephants in front of her. She has criticized men's weight - and a bit too often.

For some reason, as I've said before, JJ has a hate for male litigants. I don't know if it's how she was treated in the courtrooms in the past, or personal issues - but she has a disdain for males...and it shows.

Imagine if it was a male judge acting this way to female litigants on TV? Insulting their looks and mannerisms, but not to men? He'd be cancelled in no time.

pvd295....what you said is totally untrue. Completely untrue. 100% false.

This is a lie repeated by people who don't like Judge Judy. Some people can't handle a judge who tells it like it is....so they lie and say JJ hates men or whatever.

Judge Judy rips women (who deserve it) just as badly as she rips men. She calls them scammers and lazy for being on welfare. "Don't have kids!", "You're a moron!"....and yes, I've heard her comment on a girl's weight who was bullying another girl. She might comment on men's looks more....but there's usually a reason for it.

Women win half the cases. And women get half the insults. To say JJ is biased against men is ridiculous.

I have seen her say things to women who wear strapless or ones who show their stomach. She asks if they are cold then tells them to put something on. She then berates them for wearing inappropriate clothing.

Why exactly do you feel as though Judge Judy should be harsher on women and racial minorities and go easier on white males? Poor white males! Honestly, do white males need more privilege than they already have? You can carry on like Donald Trump and yet become the President of the United States for goodness sake.

White males aren't held to high standards for their looks like the rest of us? Women are often pressured by men to look a certain level otherwise they are treated as unworthy. And we as racial minorities have been trashed for centuries based upon our appearance and not being white, so why would Judge Judy feed into such negative behavior on groups who already get negative treatment in that regard. It is the white man who is in charge in Hollywood and has created this ridiculous narcissitic standard of beauty that women must live up to and that racial minorities are damned for being unable to meet. Maybe that's why Judge Judy acts the way she does.

Once again, Judge Judy's sexist attitude reared it's ugly head.

There was a male defendant on one of the cases (11-7) in which he was had a button down shirt with the top 2 buttons unbuttoned, which you could see some chest hair and a silver chain. Granted he was smug - but in a cute way. Within a minute, JJ yelled at him to button up his shirt, because "this was not an audition".

Why did he need to button his shirt?

Now, the female plaintiff had a low-cut top on which showed more of her skin than his did - but nothing was said.

How many times have women been on her show - especially minority women - with very low-cut clothing, most of their breasts hanging out and tattoos everywhere? And they come in 'with attitude'?

Not once has Judge Judy told them they were dresses inappropriately*, or told them this was not an audition.

She went awful easy on that gay white man last year who then proceeded to come here and bitch about her on this boards. Maybe white males should use some of their privilege to avoid all the legal battles that land them into Judge Judy's courtroom and that would stop pissing Judy off so much.

I'm not sure what you're trying to get at but I stated clearly that JJ goes hard on all males - white, blacks, hispanics, Asians, Natiev Americans, etc - then she does on any women. As far as people who are clearly gay and lesbian - yes, she goes much easier on a black lesbian than she does a white gay male. I've seen that over and over again. She's biased against men - straight or gay. (Not sure why you're trying so hard to twist what I'm saying?).

You guys must have loved the movie 'The Life Of David Gale'. One of the few movies I rated a '1' on here. It's about an anti-death-penalty activist who fakes a murder and purposely lies and tries to get convicted. He admits he did it, lies about everything, does everything to purposely look guilty....and then when he's convicted, he whines about it.

My attitude is "screw him". If he wants to get convicted, let him get convicted. If someone goes on JJ and tries to lose, let him lose. To me that's still the correct decision by JJ.

Also....to say JJ goes easy on women is absurd. Absolutely absurd. It's simply a lie to say that.

Some of you say she's a bully. Me....I like to see people get bullied who deserve it. If you don't like it, go watch Dr. Phil.

Judy has the platform you wish you had (but don't), so you revel in her bile and acrimony. It makes you feel good.

It would make for poor TV (and this show is entertainment, after all), but it would be completely possible for Judy (or any judge) to do her job without all the bitterness, yelling, screaming, and insults.

Besides being a bully, Judy is a performer, playing a role. And, you fall for it! Yet, you're so smug and think you're smarter than the rest.

Gubbio, I actually have to disagree with this particular statement. If doing something would make for poor TV and the goal is high ratings, then it wouldn't be completely possible for Judy to do her job.

Besides being a bully, Judy is a performer, playing a role. And, you fall for it! Yet, you're so smug and think you're smarter than the rest.

I also don't feel Jmichael is being smug with us or that he's acting as though he thinks he's better than us. I just think he is just an uber obsessive Judge Judy fan, so he's not willing to admit to where a case or two is wrong or Judy messed up.

Jmichael is just a big fan of Judge Judy. I can respect that. I am a big fan of Judge Judy too, but I am not such a fan I can't acknowledge when she makes a mistake here and there. She calls a lot of cases spot on. And it is fun to watch her get on people in my estimation.

Gubbio, I actually have to disagree with this particular statement. If doing something would make for poor TV and the goal is high ratings, then it wouldn't be completely possible for Judy to do her job.

I'm saying that A JUDGE can decide a case without the hysterics, screaming, yelling, name-calling, and insults. They bring nothing to the case.

That's true. Lol! But the same reason you and a lot of people hate her is the reason why a lot of people love her and why she gets high ratings. She introduced the whole tough, strict, no BS style to court shows and a lot of people expect her to maintain that role.

I've even seen where people will get annoyed with Judge Judy where she fails to do one of her drill sergeant trademarks. On YouTube, I sometimes see users saying "I am really disappointed in Judy for not calling this idiot out for saying um or basically like she usually does" or "How could Judge Judy let that lady get away with that. She usually gets on people who do such and such."

Do not get me wrong though: it's plenty easy for me to understand how you and a lot of detractors could hate her for such behaviors. LMFAO!!! By no means would I be cool with Judge Judy talking to me as she does the litigants on her program and I might fly over that bench on her. Let's be clear on that. LMFAO!!!

Yea, if Judge Judy were in a real court of law, she would have long ago been disbarred for her courtroom conduct. But I think she has a reputation and legacy of a toughie to uphold on television if she wants to stay a success on television.

If Judy's job is to be a performer, then you're right. If Judy's job is to deliver blind justice, then I am right.

I think it's more about being a performer. Judge Judy doesn't know the specific laws of each state. I once remember a litigant who was following the laws of his state that it wasn't relevant to her. She is kind of going on her own ideas of what's right. Do I think that justice? No! But the litigants are made aware, it's arbitration and Judy's way or the highway.

Judy has stated at least once, that she isn't bound by the laws of any venue, and that she reaches her decisions through "common sense."

This puts everything in a gray area. In some cases, Judy's version of common sense would be my version of insanity! 

Yea, and speaking of her flawed logic, how about where it applies in certain cases and then it doesn't in other cases. For example, there's that 'You ate the steak' catchphrase she always uses. In one recent case where the litigants had seen the lodging they would be staying at and even heard that they would have to use the bathroom in an inconvenient way yet enjoyed their stay despite that, she ruled for them because their inconvenience in use of the bathrooms. Everyone was like "Err... what happened to you ate the steak and have to pay for it."

"If it doesn't make sense, it's not true" is a prime example of her flawed logic. I remember a few seasons ago, she had to revise that catch phrase into "If it doesn't make sense, it's USUALLY not true" due to all the people found the err in that logic. For many years, it didn't have the "usually" in it.

Again, I am not the type of fan that can't see all of this. I am a fan of hers and see exactly what you are saying.

Yea, I know that the judge on the People's Court will actually sometimes go back in her Chambers and look up the law from the state in which the litigants reside. But that isn't hasty, speedy, and quick. Another reason people like Judy is because she is rushed, speedy and quick.

I understand what you say about men and women. You've singled out women and women from all other races other than your own so you've indirectly singled races as well. So please stop acting like you're innocent of talking about racial groups.

No, I was straight-forward and very direct in what I was saying - nothing was said / singled indirectly. You're trying way too hard to try and twist what I'm saying to fit your agenda. Ain't happening, my friend.

Why don't we discuss the real judicial system and minorities get the short end of the stick all the time. Maybe Judy is well aware of that and works to even the playing fields. And I haven't paid attention enough to her treatment with regards to racial demographics within the gay community, but if she has gone harder on gay white males, maybe it's because she senses the same gay/white/male ethnocentrism I get from you and a lot of other gay white men.

I'm sure there are many forums you can find to talk about the real judicial system, and that minorities get the short end of the stick. I'm sure there are many members on those forums that are willing to discuss it with you. I'm here on this thread discussing 'Judge Judy' and what I see is a bias against all male defendants. I'm not here to discuss the US judicial system, sorry!

I have lived around black women all my life and I have never heard any of them bring up gay white men and trash them as I have heard vice versa from gay white males.

You want to give me examples of all this hate you claim to be getting from black women? I have met black women who because of their Christian faith have an issue with homosexuality as a whole if that's what you speak of but that isn't anything targeting specifically gay white males. Plus, black people are in large part changing on that issue and becoming more accepting anyway. A lot of black women are growing to accept homosexuality but some still haven't due to their religion. Overall, most black women take issue with how they have historically been treated. I don't see them regularly trashing gay white males as I do from gay white males against black women. I see white gay men mocking black women, trashing them, making fun of them, etc. It's disgusting.

And that's your observation, as a GBM. As a GWM, I've seen the opposite. I find it equally disgusting.

Once again, your gay white privilege manifests itself. Most of this country is white, 74% as a matter of fact. That means most gays are white unless you are living in one city out of the country, which is Atlanta, Georgia.

I'm not sure what you're trying to get at but I stated clearly that JJ goes hard on all males - white, blacks, hispanics, Asians, Natiev Americans, etc - then she does on any women. As far as people who are clearly gay and lesbian - yes, she goes much easier on a black lesbian than she does a white gay male. I've seen that over and over again. She's biased against men - straight or gay. (Not sure why you're trying so hard to twist what I'm saying?).

I understand what you say about men and women. You've singled out women and women from all other races other than your own so you've indirectly singled races as well. So please stop acting like you're innocent of talking about racial groups. Why don't we discuss the real judicial system and minorities get the short end of the stick all the time. Maybe Judy is well aware of that and works to even the playing fields. And I haven't paid attention enough to her treatment with regards to racial demographics within the gay community, but if she has gone harder on gay white males, maybe it's because she senses the same gay/white/male ethnocentrism I get from you and a lot of other gay white men.

I have lived around black women all my life and I have never heard any of them bring up gay white men and trash them as I have heard vice versa from gay white males. You want to give me examples of all this hate you claim to be getting from black women? I have met black women who because of their Christian faith have an issue with homosexuality as a whole if that's what you speak of but that isn't anything targeting specifically gay white males. Plus, black people are in large part changing on that issue and becoming more accepting anyway. A lot of black women are growing to accept homosexuality but some still haven't due to their religion. Overall, most black women take issue with how they have historically been treated. I don't see them regularly trashing gay white males as I do from gay white males against black women. I see white gay men mocking black women, trashing them, making fun of them, etc. It's disgusting.

If you have that much trouble and anxiety dating white men who somehow offend you with their comments, why bother? Maybe you should date other men who are not white; there's plenty out there. Why put yourself through so much agony and distress?

There was a male defendant on one of the cases (11-7) in which he was had a button down shirt with the top 2 buttons unbuttoned, which you could see some chest hair and a silver chain. Granted he was smug - but in a cute way. Within a minute, JJ yelled at him to button up his shirt, because "this was not an audition".

Why did he need to button his shirt?

Now, the female plaintiff had a low-cut top on which showed more of her skin than his did - but nothing was said.

How many times have women been on her show - especially minority women - with very low-cut clothing, most of their breasts hanging out and tattoos everywhere? And they come in 'with attitude'?

Not once has Judge Judy told them they were dresses inappropriately*, or told them this was not an audition.

Just last week we had the tall blond woman (who fraud the insurance company) with a wide open blouse showing all her tattoos across her chest from shoulder to shoulder. I don't recall JJ asking her to button up her blouse to her neck.

*A few times - and I stress very few - in past seasons she has asked a woman to cover up because they're wearing very skimpy clothing. But she hasn't done that in many years. There have been plenty of times this season and in last season where she should have said something to embarrass these women - as she did to this poor guy.

It's true that JJ is a judge for working people with values. People who support America's welfare system and are jealous of rich people tend to not like her. People who blame others for their problems tend to not like her. Most judges will advise people that the responsible thing to do is to go down to Social Services and apply for benefits. If it's legal, that means it's a good thing. JJ doesn't play that. She thinks our welfare system is a joke, and she's not afraid to say so. If you don't like it when welfare people with 6 kids are called lazy or irresponsible, then go watch another judge.

I may be the exception, jmichael, but I support our welfare system and am jealous of rich people, but I love Judge Judy! I don't think she's against welfare at all, just frustrated when she sees people scamming the system. Whether it's the surfer who's on medicinal marijuana for a broken neck (!) to the woman who said she had a bad back but walked in on stiletto heels ("oh, I just wore these for the show"), there are so many people who come on the show and take advantage of the system, and I love it when JJ calls them on it.

For someone who can solely claim to have had the #1 rated daytime show for the better part of 20 years, she's earned the right to have whatever wealth comes her way and also the right to store her wealth wherever she chooses. It's no one's business but hers and her family.

As for her getting 'upset' about petty scammers, most any judge wouldn't allow anyone to get away with anything, be it one dollar or a thousand.

Her personal fortune doesn't and shouldn't dictate how she rules in a case.

Her commenting on someone's looks or attitude or whatever is completely different from her commenting on the state of the nation and/or offering her personal opinions while going off on a tangent about any particular subject.

She knows her audience well and wisely comments in bits and pieces because she knows that that is accepted and expected.

And usually when she makes comments like those about someone being 'well fed' she is most likely indirectly stating that the person in question looks healthy enough to seek employment - which may relate to the facts of the case.

Trust me, I am no fan of Reagan. (I was not old enough to vote in 1980, but old enough in 1984 and didn't vote for him). I well remember the early days of AIDS and how he and his administration turned the other way. I also remember him being very cruel to the lower class, and wanting to cut as many social programs as he could - remember the 'welfare queen' in Chicago he often talked about in his campaigns? America was on his side - even though she didn't actually exist.

However, like it or not, he did set an example for the majority of America in to which way the country should be headed in the 1980s, after the chaos of the 1970s. He became America's hero with 'conservative, honest' morals (after the failure of Nixon), and even turned Democrats to his side (remember those proud 'Reagan Democrats'?). And 3- years later, when JJ turns to Byrd and says "This used to be a great country..." I can't help but understand she's subliminally referring to the 1980s.

We have no idea what he has financially done 'legally' or not, again because he has refused to release his tax returns.

However, this is the man elected to the Oval Office, who (supposedly) will sit as an example to all Americans, and be the 'moral compass' of the free world.

America spends more on welfare than it takes-in in total revenues. And it's scheduled to go to 150% of revenues and beyond. They only way we're keeping-up with welfare spending is by printing more and more money. That's why we haven't had an economic-boom since Bush 1....and we never will again. It's impossible to have an economic-boom with so many people on welfare.

Me....I applaud anyone who is successful. They pay taxes to help all the irresponsible people. We should be encouraging people to work hard and be successful....not demonizing them.

What you see on television are two half hour back to back shows and the assumption is how on earth can she possibly earn 47 million dollars a year for doing that? I want that job!

Well, if you really want that job, you need to do what she's done, and that's earn it. Go to law school. Graduate at the top of your class. Continue getting an education, temporarily forsaking family and friends along the way.

WE, the everyday citizens of this country should be held accountable and do whatever it is that we can do to contribute to help others, and ourselves.

I didn't say that we should penalize them. You said that its fair for JJ to earn $47 mill per day. I don't think it is fair - and I feel the same way about "artists", athletes, etc. There is really no reason for somebody to make $47 mill per year just because they yell too much on tv.

First of all, no one needs to support JJ, she does fine on her own (and I'm not talking about her salary).

I have nothing to be jealous of. If I was as angry with my job as she appears to be in pretty much every episode, I would rather collect cans than to still keep that job. I'm currently in Ibiza to test drive the new Seat. Amazing night life. What did JJ do when she was 32? Probably spent 15 hours per day in classes and/or studying and on a verge of divorce (which happened when she was 34).

I feel the same way about Simon Cowell, Gordon Ramsay and everybody else who earn so much money just because they're loudmouths and they're good at insulting people.

No...it's exactly the opposite. Those who DON'T like her are weak wimps. Those who DON'T like her are insecure about themselves. Because you're afraid of someone successful and powerful, and you're afraid of being judged yourself. Those of us who like JJ are not secure in ourselves, we're not afraid of being judged....and we aren't jealous or intimidated by successful people.

What's so powerful about her? She's a tv host. There is absolutely nothing that she can do to you. People can yell back, interrupt her, walk out, etc and there is nothing that she can do to punish them other than to "rule against them" (in which case show pays anyways).

And people count success differently. When I'm in my 70s (if I live that long, which I highly doubt) I'll remember that my life wasn't about classroom (and later courtroom) every single day, while changing diapers, going through two failed marriages and being angry all the time.

I can't speak for anyone else but I enjoy watching JJ because of her no-nonsense attitude. I don't enjoy watching her chewing people up just for the heck of it, only those who deserve it.

Tarnation! You aren't kidding when you go in on how bad you dislike the humidity. We've never been more on the same page as we are on that regard. I can't stand the humidity. I never got Grace's address when she was active on here. Well actually, that may not be correct. Very crappy system that is to have e-mails expire by the way. But I would most definitely visit Grace if I had the means. She berates women just as harshly as men. If you're keeping tabs on how often she rips a men vs. women as far as looks....maybe you're right. But there's always a reason for it.

There's a difference between lying to get-away with something....and lying to try to lose. If the whole case is fabricated and one of the parties is trying to lose, then they will lose. Once again, you're desperate to find dirt on JJ....and there is none.

There's a plenty of dirt on her. This is just a perfect example, which is why I mentioned it. According to your logic, JJ always get to the truth and she'll dismiss the case if she feels that there is something weird about it. Yet, this time she believed the made-up story from few deadbeats and she even awarded them money. Ouch.

It's true that JJ is a judge for working people with values. People who support America's welfare system and are jealous of rich people tend to not like her. People who blame others for their problems tend to not like her. Most judges will advise people that the responsible thing to do is to go down to Social Services and apply for benefits. If it's legal, that means it's a good thing. JJ doesn't play that. She thinks our welfare system is a joke, and she's not afraid to say so. If you don't like it when welfare people with 6 kids are called lazy or irresponsible, then go watch another judge.

I'm not an American and I don't even live in the USA, so I couldn't care less about America's welfare system.

By the way, I don't support deadbeats who have 7 kids by 5 different fathers and live of the welfare. You're completely missing the point. I'm not supporting those people.

Jmichael, you're infatuated with Judge Judy because she hates the welfare system, the "blaming other people for problems," that she seems to satisfy your Republican values. News flash, Judge Judy voted Obama and Democrat both times, so there goes your fanaticism of her in that regard. She may hate the abuse of the welfare system by people but it doesn't strike me as though she's like a Republican and hates the very existence of the welfare system. I have yet to hear of Judge Judy actually voting Republican.

Also, I find Judge Judy entertaining, am a fan and all, but let's get real here: she is full of flaws and enough flaws that even fans of her should be able to understand why others could detest her. I can't quite place this thinking of yours that Judge Judy is beyond err in all of her judgments either. Is this just because you're a big fan or whatever? If that's the case, I will let this go. Whatever the case, however, all of her judgments are most certainly NOT correct. There was the fabricated and quite frankly far-fetched cat case with a bunch of red flags that JJ bought, but honestly a lot more where that came from:

There was a case from last year that Judy called so wrong that she got gobs and gobs of complaints from her most loyal fans over on Facebook: It was the case about the woman with 5 horses and the other neighbor with the stallion. The stallion jumped the fence and ran the mares through a barbed wire fencing and even bred one of the ponies which was in heat. The Judge sided with the stallion owner, saying the woman who owned the mares was at fault for not getting the mare fixed so that THE HORSE THAT BROKE INTO HER YARD WOULDN'T MATE WITH IT. Horse owners were pissed with Judy's ignorance as well, saying there's no such thing as getting a mare fixed because doing that is fatal. They were also pissed over JJ's ignorance in saying that horses are treated like dogs and saying it's called "neutering" when it is called "gelded." Horses are not like dogs and cats. It is the stallion owners responsibility to keep their stallions from jumping fences. They said stallions fight mares geldings and can hurt a person even riding a mare in heat.

And what about the case from just weeks ago where the plaintiff was making a left turn on the green left turn signal and the defendant was making a right turn at a red light and crashed into the plaintiff. Well, JJ awarded the defendant the judgment because she said the plaintiff should not have turned into the right lane as opposed to staying in the left. That was the most ridiculous thing I ever heard. One was at a red light and the other had a green light. And even the police said that green always wins out.

Last but not least and as someone else explained, JJ has no concept of what goes on outside of the upper class and the extremely high upper class. That truth often manifests itself in her various comments, judgments and observations.

To respond to some of you....

I didn't want to make it political, because there are plenty of liberal people who love JJ also. People who don't like liars and scammers.

JJ is a 74-year-old woman who makes $47M per year, is in the spotlight, and has many haters. They try to dig-up dirt on her. But all they got is that once she had to return some china. Big fricking deal.

It's SO absurd to rip JJ for ruling on a case that was fabricated. She catches many of them. But if a person is determined to go in and say they did something wrong, how can you blame JJ for agreeing that they did something wrong?? Ridiculous. It's absolutely absurd to rip her for that. JJ is 10X smarter and more probing than the other TV judges. Those other judges tiptoe around everything and make a lot of bad decisions.

I've never seen her rule incorrectly on a case. If she said a mare should be spayed and was wrong about that, it's up to the owner to explain. JJ doesn't have to be an expert on everything. It's up to the litigant to prove their case. As for the left-turn, right-turn case....I'd need to hear all the testimony. It's not automatic one way or the other.

As far as a rich person being able to judge a poor person....deal with it. If you're jealous of her, that's your problem. I only see her being hard on jackasses.

In my opinion, people who are infatuated with Judy and have chosen to be blind to her many flaws have a few mental issues of their own. They live vicariously through her.

Judy is a big mouthed bully and nothing more. She may not have started out that way, but that's what money and fame have turned her into.

She's really a hot mess.

You're correct about one thing - she has many haters. Considering the way she acts - what did you expect?

There's plenty of dirt on her. You're just too blind to see it. I can sit here and list a lot of negative things about her and I'm sure that you'll find an excuse about every one of them.

She catches many of them.

So it went from "she always gets the truth" to "she catches many of them". So which is it? Does she always catch scammers or just every now and then?

I've never seen her rule incorrectly on a case.

I just showed you the case where she ruled incorrectly. Even the plaintiff who won the case said that he made up a story and she believed him.

JJ doesn't have to be an expert on everything.

Tell that to JJ, since she acts like she's an expert on everything.

It's up to the litigant to prove their case. As for the left-turn, right-turn case....I'd need to hear all the testimony. It's not automatic one way or the other.

It's SO absurd to rip JJ for ruling on a case that was fabricated. She catches many of them. But if a person is determined to go in and say they did something wrong, how can you blame JJ for agreeing that they did something wrong?? Ridiculous. It's absolutely absurd to rip her for that. JJ is 10X smarter and more probing than the other TV judges. Those other judges tiptoe around everything and make a lot of bad decisions.

Sigh! None of us are ripping on her! We're saying she called the case wrong. This was the counter-argument to your belief that Judge Judy always gets it right, that you have NEVER heard of her calling a case wrong. Well, if two people go into a court with a fake case when you have the option of completely throwing the case out, that's calling a case wrong. Not calling a case right. So in essence, you have now heard of Judge Judy calling a case wrong.

Err... the owner of the mare did explain? She explained that the horse jumped the fence and raped her horse. The owner of the stallion acknowledged that.Yet JJ sided with the mare owner. As for needing to hear all of the testimony with regards to red light, green light case, it's exactly as I explained it to you. Instead of acknowledging the err in judgment, you're using the excuse that you need to hear the whole thing. Well, in that case, you really shouldn't be talking about how Judge Judy never calls it wrong when apparently you've missed so many cases.

I didn't want to make it political, because there are plenty of liberal people who love JJ also. People who don't like liars and scammers.

You say she's biased against men; she's not. She's biased against BUMS. And jerks. And she always tells-off freeloading irresponsible women too.

Exactly! She will offend those who take advantage of the system and it doesn't (and shouldn't) matter if they are white, black, male, female or anything and everything in between.

She is obnoxious and does not even explain her rulings. It does seem she makes her rulings purely on emotion over the law. I like the People's Court. Judge Milian is beautiful, a sensible parent and explains her rulings. Tough when needed.

I am surprised JJ has been on the air for as long as she has. I don't get her appeal.

Judge Milian is awesome. I feel so confused watching jj sometimes, I don't know if it's the editing or if she leaves so much stuff out that she already knows from reading their complaints.
