Curly's girl episode was a ripoff of an 80s chick flick

That episode reminds me of the movie "Can't Buy me love" a 1987, teen flick.

It has the same exact story.

-Nerd falls for the cool girl
-Cool girl wouldn't give him the time of day.
-Cool girl ruins expensive outfit
-Cool girl desperate to get outfit fixed before parent finds out.
- Nerd offers to get it fixed for a price.
- Nerd makes deal with girl to pretend to be his gf.
-Nerd suddenly thinks he's all that.

Lol, it could be possible that the episode was based on that movie.

"Arnold, my love, why must I worship you...and NEVER EVER tell?" 

You could also say Nick Cannon's 2003 movie "Love Don't Cost A Thing" is a ripoff of "Can't Buy Me Love"

Love Don't Cost a Thing was publicly a remake of Can't Buy Me Love, so it's wasn't a ripoff technically.
