I guess Frank and Marie. As Debra's father said. They're generally honest with each other. It's not an act for them. They can let steam off on one another, and not take it to heart. It seems like they might even enjoy their banter back and forth, appreciating the wi in one another. They argue, but overall it seems like they are happy.
Marie once blurted out that they had a loveless marriage, which Frank was greatly offended by. Marie then admits she didn't mean it, and that she gets dramatic sometimes. And we see they are fans of ballroom dancing, which Frank is very good at. And Marie admits that Frank is very good in bed. So their sex life seems decent.
And then there's the episode where we find everyone sneaks around behind their partner's backs to let off steam. As Frank and Marie said, they never need to do anything behind the other's back. If they have problems, they tell each other, and aren't afraid to.

If you're gonna pretend to cut her hair, at least put some scissors in your hand!
If Frank and Marie had never had children, they would have been the best couple.
As it was, however, Marie transferred her love to a large degree to her "boys,"
with Frank being shut out as a result. But they did still endure (and had lots of great sex, besides).
Robert and Amy may have been next. Ray and Debra were always problematic, what with Ray being such a mama's boy and all.
I'm not crying, you fool, I'm laughing!
Hewwo.
Robert and Amy -- mainly because we never saw them have children. Who knows where it would have gone down the line, but it probably wouldn't have been too good ...

I reject your options and I offer one of my own: Bernie & Linda. For the simple reason that they were used sparingly. They were seen only a few times, relatively speaking. They didn't show up to excess and they were actually decent caring individuals and they weren't portrayed as disgustingly melodramatic and over the top in their actions the way the main characters were on this series. They were basically the only normal people on this show. And normal isn't funny. Normal is boring and isn't entertaining. And that's why they didnt show up that often, but when they did, I liked them, and I liked Linda a hell of a lot better than Janice from Friends. As for Bernie, he and Kenny from Fraiser were about the same, but because Kenny was on Fraiser quite often as a recurring character, he was developed a lot more. And consider this one fact: Ray and Debra wanted them to be godparents of their kids in case something happened to them, and they turned it down, because they knew that if they accepted, they would have had to deal with THEM. Frank and Marie. And they didnt want that. They wanted no part of that. Hell, Linda even told Ray that his family was "crazy". Now THAT was really refreshing, I have to say. She spoke the truth, and she and Bernie dodged a real bullet by not taking them up on their request. And I commend them for that.
Think about it. I gave the best answer to this question. And you all know it.
Ray and Debra
shareRobert and Amy without a doubt! As long as the rest of the family weren't around, they were the most chill, fun to be around, liked music, liked dancing, liked throwing parties, and weren't horrible, b*tchy and mean to each other!👍
shareRay and Debra. Yes, they fight, but they sure make love a lot too!
