Why doesn't Deborah and Raymond

take lessons from Peter and Lois on Family Guy. Deborah and Raymond had a hard time getting in the bedroom, well Deborah anyhow.....but Peter and Lois got right into it.

Debra has no more problems than Ray in the bedroom. She's been in the mood for sex plenty of times. Sometimes they had it. And a good few other times, Ray ruined it. Or, his family barged in and ruined it.

Peter and Lois have 2 teenage kids that do their own thing, and they don't live next door to intrusive family members. Only thing that would stop them from having sex is Stewie. Meanwhile For Ray / Debra there was Frank, Marie, Robert, Ally, Geoffrey, and Michael. And again, sometimes Ray who messed up his own chances for sex.

Debra has been in the mood often, but I feel like more often than not, she turned him down and turned her back on him and went to sleep with a spiteful comment because she was angry or annoyed with him about something.

There was also the episode with "Sensuopoly" where Debra finally comes out with wanting more variety and had the hardest time just saying that she'd wanted that for quite a while--after HOW many years of marriage? That came across as incredibly uptight and made him feel inept that she'd been holding back about feeling unsatisfied. And it wasn't about him feeling selfish (as she stated), because as soon as he found out what she wanted, he was totally willing to step up to the plate.😀

They would make a good foursome.

It probably wasn't pleasurable for her. It's mentioned that Ray doesn't last long and he doesn't do things FOR HER...if you know what I mean. I could see that being boring and not very intimate.

reply

Communication is the name of the game, and since she has no problem communicating when she's angry then...if she's unsatisfied it's her fault--she certainly has no problem speaking her mind otherwise.

reply

She does tell him it's unsatisfying in an episode or two.

reply

Right, but what she also admits is that she felt like that for a long time and didn't know how to talk to him about it, shattering his sexual ego because she was unsatisfied for so long without his knowing.
