Why is Cher only on the show for 2 years while the show lasted for 3 years?

I was just thinking the same thing. The only person who seemed to be on for the last season was the dad.

cher was played by alicia silverstone one year and rachel blancherd or whatever the next few years

Alicia Silverstone was only in the Clueless movie,never in the tv show....
