I mean, the big giant head knowingly sent janet to earth to work with dick on the mission as his WIFE and have sex and love eachother as partners!

I get that their "superior race" does not think much of human customs or anything, and the big giant head might have seen this as him working with and getting to know family, its pretty funny that the big giant head's lack of understanding/knowledge of earth would cause his son to unkowingly commit to incest.

I dont know how much stock they would put into earth based incest as they dont seem to have gender. It would still be considered "love" and "marriage" between "family" as those things still seem to exist to some exent in their purple tube society.

It's a sci-fi comedy. Get it? Fiction and comedy. You're reading WAY too much into it.

i agree, its definitely reading way too much into it.

Especially since this show has a ton of inconsistencies in character knowledge/skills/likes/dislikes as well as having the same actor playing different characters as the show progressed.

So yeah, definitely reading too much into a show that never really tried to be anything more than it was. I mean, there barely was any special effects for the entire series and the show was centered around aliens lol.

still its funny to think about since it was only a minor plot point that Roseanne Barr specifically played TBGH's niece and Dick ended up being TBGH's son lol. I guess we can assume the show was never planned very far, and likely went through multiple writers in its run. Thats just a theory though, not based on a whole lot either lmao.
