How could such an ostensibly lively band blow it with the theme song in season 5? They really stripped the original theme to nothing. It became joyless. When watching the DVDs, I used to bob my head and hum along. In season 5, I began skipping the theme or muting it so I wouldn't have to be frustrated. Grrrrrrrrrrrr...

The creators must have known it, as well. In season 6, they reverted to the original far superior theme.

It was surprisingly bad. I'd remembered it being bad, watched season 5 ep 9(The Loud Solomon Family: A Dickumentary) again the other night and was surprised at how bad it was. Glad they went back for season 6.

Yeah. They changed the key and it just sounded flatter and lifeless. What were they thinking? And they are normally a great band.
