To think I used to hate this show...

I haven't watched a full episode since probably 1998, minus it playing in the background while my family ate dinner sometimes, I thought it was just plain goofy, cheap and stupid.
How wrong I was. This show IS plain goofy, but I love it. The way it whittles down our culture into a series of weird, yet accepted customs is brilliant. The characters are defined in a way that keeps the chemistry from wearing thin. And I like how they are book smart yet socially clueless. It's smart for being so stupid. I hope watching it so many years later that the show doesn't lose flavor.
So glad to have given it a second chance.

I didn't hate it but I can relate to your initial feeling. After watching one episode I was hooked.

To think I used to like it. Guy I thought was a girl for many episodes, guy who squints all the time, giant masculine woman. Corny jokes. What was I thinking? (rhetorical question).

French Stewart's character is the worst but Lithgow is brilliant. I didn't like it then but love it now.
