You know I was sometimes a little skeptical of the idea he died of a natural heart attack, during the dance upstage with Tommy and Big Tom I saw Lowe look at his watch, which gave me the idea maybe they slipped something in his champagne or something, but I guess not.
shareHmm, I never thought of it that way but I still don't think they did a thing to him. I always thought Paul was just really bored and annoyed with the whole thing and was just looking at his watch to see how much longer it would go on. And I think that if they murderd him it would make it less of a comedy movie and more like a murder mystery if you get what I mean. I just don't think they would have put that in the movie.

So no they didn't kill Big Tom and they were not going to, they were con-artists not murders.
Also when Paul looks at his watch is when Big Tom sings the line "The girl with the diamond ring" and Beverly does the hand wiggle thing women do.

Big Tom had a heart attack at his wedding. It was actually a great way to get a character actor like Brian Dennehy out of this junk. Anyway, if he had lived, they would've conned him out of his money.
