This is one of the all time best comedies in history. This movie practically makes me cry every time I watch it knowing we have no more like this coming from one of the funniest guys who ever lived.

shareYou are absolutely right in questioning its rating. Below a 7 is inexcusable. This is a text book perfect comedy.
It has hilarious unique moments. Comedic dialogue, as well as a slew of physical comedy. It has heart, a great story, great pacing, and a fun soundtrack.
I consider this to be in the running of top 5 comedies of all time in fact. Up there with Spinal Tap, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Wayne's World, etc.
Such a great comedy. It has a 9 in my book.

OK, I wasn't going to jump in, but you are now getting into personal territory with me. I'm not a huge fan of Tommy Boy, but I met Chris Farley once and worked for his best friend and have to say he was one of the nicest people I ever met. You may not like his work, but to wish someone dead you know nothing about is going too far.
