Can Anyone Tell Me What The Hell “Give It A Name” Means”?
. . . other than complete self-impressed arrogance on the part of the ass-hat who wrote this?
In First Blood, when the cops ask Rambo what he does with the ginormous knife he carries, Rambo replies, “Hunting.” Taken aback, the cops ask you “What do you hunt with that?” John Rambo says, “Name it.” THAT makes spine-shiver sense. THAT is a GREAT line.
In THIS turd of a movie, on the other hand, “Heh, give it a name means” . . . what?
I know the entire script, therefore the entire movie, is bad. This particularly smug and self-satisfied effort to create a catch-phrase that not only died stillborn but exploded and gassed everyone in the delivery room has always rankled me. Anyone know what it was supposed to mean?
If you wrote the script, don’t answer, ‘cause YOU don’t have a freaking clue.
