Is there a longer version?

The trailer of this movie seems to have some scenes from the wedding "party" that I can't find on the DVD or anywhere else. The DVD itself only contains the crowd carrying naked Robert (only with that feather tied to his family jewels), and then him running from them towards the bedroom where he meets the bride. What about the blindfold scene, and Merivel waving after some woman?

The DVD version is 117 minutes, just like the IMDB information says. Do you know if there is another version? Something like a "director's cut" or so? Google didn't help here.

At least the DVD version had the "naked" scene restored, as my old VHS version didn't have it and if memory serves me was only around 110 minutes long.

I too would love to see a longer version released.

"only around 110 minutes" sounds funny, but yes, I agree. I would love to see a longer version. A much longer version. Thanks a lot for your reply. :)

I'm curious about alternate versions of this. I watched it on Vudu. It's listed as 118 minutes, but the movie seemed pretty tame. A few sexual situations, but almost no nudity. One very brief shot of some extra's breasts when two women are in bed with Merivel shortly after he is at court.

There is a comment at IMDB talking about the wedding night (between Merivel and Celia) and how the revelers are chanting "fuck her well, fuck her well". That's not what I heard at all. In the version I watched they chant "Merivel, bed her well".
