I have always thought that Lucifer is Satan, but that it is just two different names.
After reading here though, I'm not so sure, so I was hoping someone could give me a summary about what is right and what is wrong? And if they are not the same "creature", who are they, and why is it commong knowledge that Satan and Lucifer is the same beeing?

This thread is a good way of showing exactly how different Christian opinions can be on this topic...and yet, they are all referring to the same book. So how do they come up with such varying interpretations?
I think this thread demonstrates exactly how unreliable and unreasonable The Bible is. When believers and even non-believers read this book and can't even come to 1 accepted conclusion about just 1 simple topic, something is grossly wrong about the source material.
