I just saw the trailer for this and two questions.

The trailer gave me the impression angels are jealous that humans have souls. Why would they make you think that?

Also wasn't Gabriel one of the "good guys" in terms of angels?

Gabriel is an archangel in the Bible, so yeah he is a "good guy" there.

In fiction (fiction other than the Bible, that is) Gabriel seems to be portrayed as a traitor now and then. It's the same in Constantine.
