this movie is a classic and always will be. it has the best depiction of angels in any film and Christopher Walken is the ultimate bad guy in Gabriel. Also, some special mention to Viggo Mortenson (which i gotta say in my opinion is still his best performance to date)

Just watched it again on Movie Mix and it is a really good film. Great performances from all the cast!

Classic-ish, insofar as I'll always watch it when it's on tv and quite bonkers.
Hasn't dated.
No tongue-in-cheek stuff to bounce you out of the film.

What's not to like?

Well said. Watching it now on starz. Great movie that most people have forgotten about or possibly never seen.
