The only question that I have for this movie is can you get to California from the Eastern Seaboard by military helicopter in a couple of hours?

No, but I don't think they did that in the movie.

When did they go to the eastern seaboard? They went from the small town in California (northern) to Sacramento (also northern) to off the coast of San Francisco. All of which were not that far away from each other.
