Shades of grey song in the beginning?

Anyone know who sings the song in the beginning? I think the title is "Shades of Grey" ... I can only find it by Billy Joel though. In the movie it's a wonderful song sung by a woman who I can't find the name of :(

Annie Lennox's version of Whiter Shade of Pale used in The Net.

Very old thread i admit.

Yes...it's Whiter Shde of Pale - Annie Lennox (she covered the original from Procul Harum).

Also, another track used in The Net was Knight Rider 2000 - Jan Hammer.
