As crazy as this sounds, I am sure I have seen a made-for-TV version of this hit film. All of the actors are different - even the director is some unknown. The name of the film was not "The Net". Has anyone seen it? It was shown on Channel 5 (when it was still called this).
This alternative version is not that good but the ending is far more chilling!!!

There was a movie called NetForce with Scott Bakula. I think it was made from a Tom Clancy book.

It was long ago when I saw it but I vaguely remember it being sort of the same story with the same characters (but other actors) and more extended than the movie.

I know I'm bumping an old thread, but there was a straight to video "sequel" made in 2006 directed by the son of the director of The Net called The Net 2.0. I never saw it but heard it was horrible! It is at: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0449077/
