Perfect film

'The Net' is a perfect film. The action sequences are tight and perfectly-paced, the dialogue is sharp and effective, and the acting is delivered in such a way as to really make your heart beat fast and begin to panic at just the right moments, such as when the main character is trying to get the virus onto the floppy disk. 'The Net' shows that a film really can have an emotional impact on an audience, and to make that audience think, as it certainly always does with me... whenever I watch 'The Net', I come away thinking about the interconnected world we live in just that bit much more, and I realise how clever the writers of 'The Net' were to depict such a world so accurately on film.

I agree. Really underrated film.

The thing that resonated with me in this 20 year old film is that they got the identity theft premise pretty accurate all things considered.🐭

I agree, it's very underrated - it's actually quite entertaining to watch, I've watched it quite a few times over the years.

on the contrary, it's overrated, there are many stupid things, for example, when angela is taking in a car by the fake fbi agent and she start to take control of the car and crash, of all the cars in the city, they crash to main criminal guy's car. yes the fake agen had to be close to him for the radio transmission, but to crash to him, that's too much. the movie has very interesting theme, but there are a lot of stupid stuff that test you suspension of disbelief too many times.

it is not the perfect film as the technology now looks stupid

the ending is surprisingly old fashioned and stupid as well
