NEARLY 30 YEARS LATER AND MALLRATS IS STILL GREAT.

WATCHED MALLRATS AGAIN LAST NIGHT...PROBABLY MY 100TH VIEWING...THIS TIME TO SHARE THE FILM WITH MY 15 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER...AS EXPECTED...I STILL LOVE THE FLICK...MY DAUGHTER ALSO LOVED IT....MALLRATS IS NOT KEVIN SMITH'S BEST FILM...FAR FROM IT...BUT IT IS A GREAT TIME WITH A GREAT SOUNDTRACK. 8/10

I'm not a fan of it, but I'm glad your daughter enjoys it. I was about her age when I saw it first and I liked it back then. Best part will be her remembering watching it with her dad. Good on you.

MALLRATS WAS MY ACCIDENTAL INTRODUCTION TO KEVIN SMITH...IN THE 90S MY SISTER RENTED IT BASED ON SHANNEN DOHERTY BEING IN IT...SHE WAS LESS THAN THRILLED WITH HER RENTAL SELECTION...I ON THE OTHER HAND...I WATCHED IT THREE TIMES BEFORE WE RETURNED IT...THEN QUICKLY RENTED CLERKS AND CHASING AMY AFTERWARDS...THE ONLY SMITH FILM I HAVE ISSUE WITH IS YOGA HOSERS...IT'S DUMB...BUT I LIKE A LOT OF THINGS IN IT.

He has a few I don't care for, but Clerks is my go to. Yoga hosers was a bad movie. I see what he wanted, but it didn't work. My favorites are Clerks, Dogma, Clerks 2, and Chasing Amy.

My biggest disappointment: the Jay style stoner in Freddy Vs Jason. It was really dated.

ALSO MY FAVORITES.🙂
