anybody know when this is supposed to come out? All of his other films besides Jersey Girl are on blu but not this one. This one is my second fave of Kevin's

Still can't find anything on a possible release for Mallrats. Don't get how all of Kevin's other movies have made there way to blu-ray and this one has not.
shareBecause whatever studio owns it probably doesn't think it will sell. I think Kevin Smith should buy it back and then release it himself, in limited batches until the demand slows down.

The rights are owned by Universal studios. It sucks as in the UK only Clerks, Chasing Amy, JASBSB, Zack and Miri and Red State are available on Blu-ray.

Play.com has Mallrats blu-ray release for the UK as being 2nd July 2012.
Now for UK to get Dogma (With all the extras the US got) and Clerks 2 on blu-ray. Jersey Girl? Meh, couldnt care for that on Blu-ray.

Just a heads up..zero extras on the uk release, even though it uses the 10th anniv. Artwork.
Unless its a must have I'd buy the anniv and 99 releases. The bd quality is comparable to the us hddvd. I would expect it out pretty soon. At least in the next 2 years. 2015 will be the 20th.. but universal is really pumping out releases THIS year to celebrate their 100th anniversary. It may take a bit but i guarantee its coming. In the long run Mallrats has been a solid and steady money maker for them.
