Die Fledermaus / Deflator Mouse
OK so I first saw this movie close to ten years ago, when I didn't know anything about opera. So when Gil Hicks says that he and Brandi would take in an opera on their date, and says Die Fledermaus, my ears heard Deflator Mouse. I thought that that was a weird name for an opera, but I didn't dwell on it.
I still don't know much about opera, but yesterday I was walking by an opera house and one of the posters on the side of the building said "DIE FLEDERMAUS" on it. I saw that and then it suddenly clicked. It wasn't quite a Eureka! moment but it was pretty close.
Did this happen to anyone else?
That is not how a chicken sounds. Chickens don't CLAP!
