shareWhen this movie was released, many insiders reckoned that the character of Chad was based on Brad Pitt (who starred in DiCillo's previous feature, Johnny Suede).
I saw Living In Oblivion at the London Film Festival, and one of the producers was present. I asked him what Brad thought of the movie and he said the rumours were all crap.
But nobody believed him.
Well James LeGros says his part wasn't based on Brad Pitt. However, in the trivia page it says that LeGros admitted the part was based on an actor whom he had worked with shortly before filming Living in Oblivion (1995). After looking at all of LeGros's 1994 movies, I can only assume he means Stephen Baldwin. They worked together on Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle (1994). Stephen Baldwin seems like the kind of dumbass that would fit that part, but who knows...
