Kudos to Comedy Central

LIO was on Comedy Central this am. They used bleeps to cover language that would be inappropriate for basic cable. I'm glad that they chose bleeps, instead of obvious overdubs, or just plain silence.

I concur. I also would like to give them kudos for even showing this film at all.

I discovered LIO on Starz Cinema channel about 3 years ago. They tend to show more obscure films, & I'm glad I found it. Kudos again to Comedy Central for showing it, & for realizing that this film didn't need to be "dumbed down" w/ overdubs.

I saw the final 2/3rds of it on Bravo years ago when they were still a credible channel, before selling out. Took me years to finally rent the DVD. Love it.

Comedy Central was how I discovered it. I watched a few minutes of it and immediately decided I had to seek this movie out. I'm glad they showed it.

I love movies about making movies and this is one of the better ones. Had it on VHS and saw on cable several years ago but haven't p/u on dvd yet.

Overdubs are always best. Imagine it: "You Hostess Twinkie Mother Funky!" "Jeepers Creepers!" "I'm gonna kick your funky self, Chad" "You can take this dream sequence and shove it right up your nose!"

"Why spend your life making someone else's dreams come true?"
