Hated Ballet, Loved Shirley
Shirley was a spunky little thing! She does a charming cockney number with Arthur Treacher that is 'just her style'. Then they put her in this whole boring fantasy ballet scene doing the same crap that thousands of girls in ballet classes across America could do as well or better. BIG mistake. We prefer her in rags dancing on the street for coins with Bill Robinson. She thought of herself as first and foremost a dancer and she lights up with joy every time she gets to dance - but not in the ballet.
