Who was Sera talking to?

The film periodically cuts to a scene in which Sera is taking about her relationship with Ben, but we never see the person she is talking to. Who is it?

reply

I think it's her therapist. One of the reasons why I think that is because she lies on the couch when talking to him or her at one point in the film.

Her therapist, and obviously not a very good one to let her ramble on about one of her dates. See "Klute"--similar and much better (not the overall movie, just the use of the therapist sessions)--so similar in fact, this almost seemed like an homage.

Glad I wasn't the only one to get the Klute similarity. I think she even emulated Fonda a bit during those scenes, especially the hand movements.

reply

To you. She's an actress in a corny movie, playing a hooker with a heart of gold, and you bought into it.
