Well, what are your top ten movies you would like to watch being alone? Just disconnect your soul from everything else on earth in that moment and watch that?
Let's start with mine: (in no particular order)
Leaving Las Vegas American Beauty Punch-Drunk Love The Hours The Age of Innocence Into The Wild Magnolia The Sweet Hereafter Taxi Driver The Green Mile
Do you mean movies that you can really escape to and makes you forget about your own life for a couple of hours? If so then I can watch basically any Kubrick movie but mainly 2001 A Space Odyssey. Also There Will Be Blood, The Wrestler, Taxi Driver, Cold Mountain, Requiem for a dream, The Big Lebowski, The Assassination of Jesse James, Jaws, Sweeney Todd, Watchmen, Funny People (although its not on dvd yet but I know I'd be able to watch it all the time), Bad Santa
If you piss in your pants you can only stay warm for so long
Well, me being a fan of films, I watch most movies by myself...especially if it's my first time watching it. That way I can get a better understanding of the film and concentrate on it completely. So that being said, here are my favorite films I like to watch when I'm feeling depressed or disconnected. You could say these are the films I watch when I want a sad dose of reality. (IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER):- (500) Days of Summer- Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind- Synecdoche, New York- Adaptation.- Vanilla Sky- American Beauty - The Science of Sleep- Into the Wild - Punch-Drunk-Love- The Aviator (amazing film, but on this list b/c I can personally relate to OCD)I'm sure there's several I'm forgetting..... IT'S JUST A COUCH! This isn't life, its just stuff and its become more important to you than living
