Great movie, Amazing performance

Finally! After many years of pushing this one back I finally watched it. Uncut, unrated version Featuring explicit footage not seen in theatres. Boy oh boy was I missing out. Let's begin with the start. There is 15 minutes to the movie before the title appears and it's one of the best intros ever. The relationship between the two characters is mesmerizing and the 'pool side' scene was nothing short from amazing. The movie is highly explicit ("He held me by my hair and came on my face then he kicked me off the bed and told me to leave ." is just an example.), brutal, blunt and gut wrenching. The Good bluesy soundtrack fitted perfectly and I think it might be the best performance by Nicolas Cage ever. Unfortunately, I am a pretty influenceable person (When I watched a fistful of dollars I paused it and went to buy myself some rum cigars), I drank three cold beers and drank two glasses of Disaronno Amaretto... 8.8/10
