The bluray looks TERRIBLE! This needs the Criterion treatment. Badly.

Blu-ray (HD) looks terrible because it was originally filmed in 16mm to save money. Also mostly shot in low light. Both make for a grainy look you'll see in any transfer, or even in a theater.
