"Arthur" was a light hearted look at an alcoholic.
ANYTHING with W.C.Fields in it, he drinks from the opening credits to the closing credits in all his movies.
"Under the Volcano" shows another story of a guy going down the drain like Ben.
"Bad Santa" had a good portrayal of a bad alcoholic.
Peter O'Toole does a nice job of playing the jovial drunk in "My Favorite Year."
In "The Verdict" Paul Newman is a hopeless drunk.
"Rio Bravo" (it's on cable this month) has Deano as a gunfighter who lost it to booze.
"if it was any good they'd have made an American version by now." Hank Hill
El Dorado, too. "I'm lookin' at a tin star with a drunk pinned to it."
