I wonder, what will you make of Dredd 3D, starring Karl Urban?

i am shocked quite frankly to say the least to read that the movie has mostly bad rankings / reviews

normally i wouldnt post anything in these kind of forums cause with music and movies its a waste of everyones time to debate whether its good or bad since theres 6 billion different tastes and opinions anyway so whats the point?

but in this case i wanna get the word out that there are people who not only like this movie but love it and would give it a 10/10 in a sec - if i think about i can hardly think of any movies that are better than judge dredd
i consider it a scifi action classic!! i was so godamn entertained by this movie, it got the bigger than life look and it does not slow down for a second, it has also a REAL cool futuristic setting that looks real convincing and beats newer movies that try the same by a million (eg minority report which i thought was horrible)

and: alot of classic scifi action get the same crap which are:
robocop 2
predator 2
judge dredd

i just do not understand what people find wrong with these, they all look nice, great production values, great great action sequences and are all around great movies to watch. i would say there has not been ONE movie out since the 90s that even COMES CLOSE to these kinda movies.
they have soul, atmosphere, kickass action etc etc


also i wanna say that the 3 stallone-movies that get crapped on the most are my fav's by him:
rambo 3
stop or my mom will shoot







I wouldn't give it 10 out of 10 [probably 6/10] but you're not the only one who likes it that's for sure. it's gotten a bad rap over the years mainly from hardcore Dredd fans who wanted it to be exactly like the comic. i don't really blame them for wanting it as close as possible to the comic ....i'd like it to be myself but some of them then go on to say it's just crap full stop. something I think is crap in itself as it's still not that bad a sci fi action film. And i think it does capture some of the comic quite well.

again you're not alone in liking it and I bet many others do too despite some hardcore Dredd fans saying it's worthless.
