Does anyone have any information about the parents' house? It's not grand like some of the houses in John Hughes's films but the house has a lot of neat features, like the hidden pantry in the kitchen. Anybody know if this was a real house or a set?

Good question. Normally the outside is a real house and the inside is a set. That's usually how it's done. They may have modeled it after a real house. Did you look at the filming locations on the title page?


