Clips at the End

Did anybody else catch that all the little snippets at the end represented the best moments in each of their lives?

Durning- He explained it, when the family was watching the plane take-off.

Downey Jr.- His wedding on the beach

Cynthia Stevenson- playing with Downey when they were kids

Anne Bancroft- The bowling scene

Holly Hunter- Swimming with the fish and her daughter

Guttenberg- Playing with his wife in their new house

Geraldine Chaplin- She explained it, when Durning kissed her

Dylan McDermott- sitting on the plane with Holly Hunter.

Am I way off or right on?

reply

That's about right, although I figured the swimming clip may have been Claire Danes's moment, and Holly's was the same as Dylan's. Maybe she has two of them.

reply

huh.. i never quite put that together.. but if thats true then it brings more of Cynthia Stevenson's character to light... its sad that her best moment was with a brother who now tosses turkeys on her favorite dresses...
haha.. awww.. :(

Was that Russell Crowe in the end clips with Robert Downey Jr.? I didn't see him in the credits, but it sure looked like him.

You scorpion woman!Ron Burgundy

I think it's more than just their best best or happiest moments but moments that wern't captured on film. Downey says that they didn't take pictures at the wedding and they say they won't take any when they are on the plane. I think the clips are memories of perfect or favorite moments in everyone's life.

This part always makes me tear up.

I am PRETTY sure it was Russell Crowe, yes. He isn't the one who plays Jack though, so that moment on the beach might be from a former boyfriend of Tommy's. Funny nobody but us two noticed that :p

reply

It looked like Chad Lowe, although he isn't credited for it. Looking at the credits it seems it's someone i've never heard of it.

reply

No, it's Sam Slovick, who plays Jack; that's their wedding on the beach referred to earlier in the film.

He carries illegal weapons, drives fast cars, and wears clothes obviously designed by a homosexual.

I would describe those snippets as moments when the different characters are truly "themselves", as opposed to who they are, or who they revert to, when forced back into their "family" (adolescent) roles.

It's Sam Slovick, his site: http://samslovick.com/about/
