Anyone else watching it?
Watching it right now. Love it.
This, and 'Pieces of April' are the best Thanksgiving movies.
I guess I'll cut my losses, and turn my tricks at the magic show..

I have it paused so I can go grab more stuffing - definitely the best Thanksgiving movie! I watch it every year, and it never gets old. Incredible cast! Great movie! This is to Thanksgiving what "It's A Wonderful Life" is to Christmas!
shareI'm at the halfway mark where Claudia and mom are having a conversation in the pantry. I love this movie and the entire cast. Thank god Anne Bancroft left this and other great performances for us to enjoy. Irreplaceable.
shareI've watched this every single November since I was about 15 and I'm 28 now. I find that as I've grown I notice new things and have new perspectives on many of the characters. It's one of my favorite films all around, not just for the holidays.

But they edited out so many little moments during the Thanksgiving marathon! Scenes missing included:
1. Claudia drops her coat at the airport
2. The entire scene inside the car between Claudia and parents following the
airport pickup, and Claudia glancing into the next car and seeing another
holiday traveler (guy on her flight) also being tormented by nagging
parents
3. Aunt Gladys passes gas in Tommy's car
4. Aunt Gladys rambles on about kissing Henry and her teenage infatuation
There were probably more, but I lost interest after a while. I wonder if the heavy editing was due to time restriction or content censorship?
The odious Oprah network butchered this with their ads every few minutes. I don't think it was censorship - it was OWN's policy of advertising overkill. They do it constantly. If I could have watched it on another network I would have, but apparently, OWN is the only station to show it this year. Feh.
shareRight now!
I'm about to watch this right now. I agree, 'Pieces of April' is another staple of mine. 'What's Cooking?' is great too.
