What would Walt think of this movie?

I think he would like it, approving of its deep portrayal of Goofy and Max.
I don't see him having any discomfort about Goofy siring a kid. He allowed the creation of Junior in the George Geef shorts, not to mention Pluto Junior and Pete Junior in the 40s. In fact, I think he might actually like Max, seeing him as more fully dimensional then Junior. However, Walt might disapprove of Goofy being too soft on Max, wishing the kid get some punishment for his attitude (Walt once hit his daughter for disobedience. He felt bad about it but admitted that the kid deserved it).
Of the mature content...Walt would allow Max's 'wet-dream' (he allowed Ichabod to dream about marrying Vanessa for her money in THE ADVENTURES OF ICHABOD AND MR. TOAD), though he'd wish Max wore some bedclothes. He probably wouldn't like the scantily clad Powerline-ettes (nor have Max be fixated by them) or the diva singer Goofy accidentally walked into. He'd prefer they be dressed more cladly (Not that Walt was some frump. In MELODY TIME he allowed Pecos Bill's gun to go off when he spotted a hot chick, and the 'love bed scene' in LADY AND THE TRAMP). He might think Stacey would be a better match for Max than Roxanne, in the nerdy underdog plot cliche.
Walt would also wish a more cohesive story. He would require closure to the Bigfoot and Pete plotlines. Perhaps he might want some mention of Max's mother. This could be a sensitive issue for Walt. Goofy divorced would be out of the question in his period mind-set, but Mrs. Goofy being deceased by childbirth might be too personal a discomfort for him (In 1938, Walt bought his parents a home. But the place had a bad furnace with gas leaks that fatally asphyxiated his mother. This...goof-up haunted Walt for the rest of his life). Then again, this is the guy who took some liberties in adapting BAMBI but decided to keep that nasty business with Mrs. Bambi...

Good point. I read somewhere that Walt never wanted his characters to have kids, because that would mean they had sex. I find it a bit...weird, 'cause Mickey and the gang has nieces and nephews. So...their sibs can have sex, but THEY can't?(I know,. Mickey WAS a dad in one appearance in Mickey's Christmas Carol, but that's a parody...)

Plus, Lady and the Tramp and Bambi and Faline had children. They obviously had sex. OH! And Pongo and Perdy.

For real? I haven't heard about that...although, it'd be OOC of Goofy to be strict and disciplinary.

Good points. The way you say that...it makers me think of how he would react if he saw The Lion King Broadway play. Scar tries to seduce Nala in the play.

He might think Stacey would be a better match for Max than Roxanne, in the nerdy underdog plot cliche.

So...you think he would think that Max/Roxanne is cliche?

I suppose Walt's 'no-kids' rule must have been stated in the Golden Age Years 30s and 40s, hence why Pete Junior and Pluto Junior were relegated to one episode (or perhaps they lacked the dimensionality that Max and PJ had that allowed for more development). His POV of Mickey and Minnie having a family is best provided by his 1932 short 'Mickey's Nightmare.' However, Walt probably changed his view somewhat in the 50s with the George Geef era. The reason for those cartoons was because Walt wanted to give more dimension to Goofy (something the Max era definitely succeeded in).
Indeed, I always find it strange people find the idea of Goofy siring Max a problem, as if they are either ignorant or in denial about the George Geef shorts.

George Geef did come REALLY close to making Junior's butt shine (before the kid won him over with a kiss and a loving note). Then again, perhaps I argued too much on this. Rather, I think Walt would have felt Max being TOO hard on his dad, considering that anyone BUT Goofy would have been justified in retaliation. But he would understand it as important for the movie, emphasizing Max's development from 'STay out of my life, Dad!' into 'Roxanne, I'd like you to meet my dad, whom I'm willing to delay our first date for.'

I meant using one cliche over another. Stacey would be the real girl for Max over 'popular girl' Roxanne in a 'substance vs. outward appearance' take. Then again, AGM does the John Hughes PRETTY IN PINK/SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL take: instead of being a shallow biatch, Roxanne is actually a good person. Walt might like that as well.
