"Could you make me a woman?"
"Honey I'm so happyyyyyy!"

"You`d be a lesbian". You`d probably get turned on thinking that too.

reply

[deleted]

Looks like I touched a nerve there. If it wasn`t true, you wouldn`t get mad.

reply

[deleted]

Yeah, you`re not mad at all. Sure, you put a smiley at the end, but inside you feel angry. Roxanne a sex symbol? So when there`s a really pretty girl in a movie, you MUST think of her in a sexual way, there`s no other choice?

If there was any girl that would come close to a sex symbol, it would be that Lisa girl who told Max his dance was wicked. She was kinda scantily clad and had this behaviour that was anything but innocent.

When it comes to Max and Roxanne, I`m a prude, yes. And I`m PROUD of it. You just feel threatened when there`s some guy who starts questioning your debauchery.

[deleted]

"Woe to those who are saying that what`s good is bad and bad is good". How do you think her father would like that?

reply

[deleted]

Do you think her father would let you go out with her if he knew you did those things, let alone touch her. You`re a father-in-law`s nightmare. A father would never allow a boy like that to go out with his daughter, because he knows what`s best for her.

What`s best for her would be someone who respects and appreciates her.

lol Scary thread , my son .

reply

OMG, Roxanne is soooooooooooo hot! She gives me a hard-on whenever I look at her, because of her beautiful eyes, long red hair, and big curves... and her smile as well! She also has a pretty voice, too...

reply

The thought of someone getting a hard on watching a Disney family film makes me want to throw up all over my keyboard, thats just a tad on the sick side.
Disney doesn't make sex symbols, they make loveable characters.

Buuuut each to their own I guess.

reply

The worst part is, I don`t think it`s true. They just say it because they`re pathetic enough to believe it makes them more of a man.

reply

When I said "She gives me a hard-on whenever I look at her", what I meant was that I have a picture of Roxanne on my computer, and I get a hard-on whenever I look at it because she is soooooooo hot!

reply

She's a dog.

One of the hottest animated girls, in my opinion. I still wish she had a bigger role.

Reviving this old thread. Rewatched this movie over the weekend, and I also watched it nearly 20 years ago in the theaters too.

For those of us who was Max's age or thereabouts, Max's focus on Roxanne was HANDS DOWN the absolute most relatable plot and story (and accompanying character motivations) that Disney released during the 1990s. I think the reason why so many people (and this is not a coincidence, there's countless anecdotes, personal stories, myself included, of people loving A Goofy Movie as an underrated classic) love this movie with such zeal is because of the incredibly special accomplishment of the creators being able to portray such a specific experience with such universal emotional content.

Max's aspirations and emotions towards Roxanne hit incredibly close to home to countless number of young boys, and Roxanne was also a rare, and beautifully balanced creation of cuteness, beauty, sweetness and teen heartthrob that represented all the things we wished for a first REAL girlfriend as a teenager. Who, as a teenaged boy (or girl), didn't want to make a splash in High School and impress the crush of their dreams and be the hero? The antics that got there were crazy, but the motivation wasn't, and it made a lot of us feel like we could do it too!

And like the rest of you, as a grown man who has moved past such emotional experiences, the movie still speaks volumes to me. Roxanne is officially my favorite "Disney" girl of the last 20 years, despite not being an official Disney girl.
