Licking/Sucking his fingers!

I HATED the part where he is at the table licking his fingers. He does it like 10 times and each time I became more and queasy. What did they do, sweeten the sound of the fingers being sucked and popping out of the mouth? Why did it have to happen so much? Why didn't his parents say anything, even "wow, you must really like the food!" or something. Also if you notice, he has for half the times he does it, he has nothing on his fingers to suck off. Was he going for the jam under his nails? Yuck! Every time I think about the sucking/licking the fingers scene, I get queasy over again.

Most vets who spent time in the bush like larenz character had to eat quickly because they didn't know if and when the enemy would approach. They gulped down whatever food they had without the use of utensils. I know, I have an uncle and fatherWii both served. After returning home some of those habits took time to break.

I definitely can beelee dat but did he have to lick them so much and so often? Did they have to sweeten the audio of each individual phalange being inserted into his mouth with that sucking noise after each one? Sickening!

This scene actually tells you what being gone away from home for four years without a good home-cooked meal does to you. For four years Anthony ate nothing but Army chow and rations and God knows what else. I left home at 21 and now 37 years old and still living on my own I STILL eat like there's no tomorrow when invited home for family meals. That home-cooked food is like no other.
