"Three officers on board the submarine – captain Savitsky, the political officer Ivan Semonovich Maslennikov, and the second-in-command Arkhipov – were authorized to launch the torpedo if agreeing unanimously in favor of doing so. An argument broke out among the three, in which only Arkhipov was against the launch, eventually persuading Savitsky to surface the submarine and await orders from Moscow."

Yeah, I've recently read articles about Cuban Missile Crisis and Arkhipov and it made me think I saw a film like that long time ago. So here I found it and apparently, it wasn't the actual story. But I was really hoping someone would mention that there was an event similar to the scenario.
It's a sad truth the story didn't end well: I'd say a true hero of the Cuban Crisis (and a possible nuclear war) was left forgotten, misunderstood. The should be a film about THAT.
