Extended Cut Blu-Ray of Crimson Tide, EVER????

It is curious to me that there does not appear to be a Blu-Ray 123 minute Extended version. There is the NON-Blu-Ray 123 version. But I'm itchin' for
the longer version on Blu-Ray. Anybody out there listening??!!

I agree, TC.

Ditto the extended cuts of Enemy of the State, Armageddon and Pearl Harbor — all on Blu-ray, but all only with the original cinema cut. (I'm just watching my way through the new Jerry Bruckheimer boxed set on Blu-ray, and a fair bit disappointed to see all of these miss out on their extended cuts. :-(

You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.

WOW!! Here we are. A year and four months later and my Hu, but for an extended version on Blu-ray continues for Crimson Tide. Additionally I'm lookin'
to find one for the 2011 Straw Dogs as well. Had a DVD of it but I can't even find THAT one anymore (unrated)

And on towards another year has passed, mate. Huh.

I can't help thinking it'll never happen now. I don't know how it is where you are, but over here in Australia, DVD is still the primary format as far as purchases go, in shops, on-line, and in advertising. Blu-rays are still being released, of course, but according to friends of mine who work in electronics shops and the like, DVDs sell multiple times what Blu-rays achieve. And a majority of the titles released in the US, and even in the UK, don't get released here.

So, it seems likely that a lot of the basic releases that films like this got the first time round aren't going to get an upgrade -- in the foreseeable future, anyway.
