The dog?

Is having a pet on board believable (as in it has happened before and is within the realm of possibility) or was that just Hollywood flair because you'd never have a pet on board a sub in real life?

A very entertaing article, CGSailor.

I had never heard of /read the Navy Times and read several more articles.
(I knew there was military media, but only from MASH, etc.)

It was uplifting to see that the articles addressed real, and sometimes difficult issues, and not just "happy propaganda" that cynics might expect. (Like me, for example?)

I'm not saying that I'm happy to read 'bad' news, but that I was Proud that the Navy doesn't shy away from reporting what may be considered unflattering or controversial.

I read as many articles as I could before being bumped; (Subscribe for More.)
Each article seemed to present both sides of whatever issue was being reported on.

Now, if we could only get the National News Media to do the same, we'd really have something!
(There's that cynic comin' out again . . . )
(Not just about military stuff, about everything.)(Celebrities Not Included.)
